About Us

We are a small sundial workshop, where dials are still calculated, cast and engraved by hand. To us a sundial is more than an ornament: calculated for its place and engraved by hand, it reads the sun true and lasts for generations. That is what our work is about.

We work by hand. Calculating the hour lines for the latitude, casting the plate, engraving the lines and the motto, setting the gnomon, step by step, with care. It is exacting, patient work, and that is where the difference from a decorative dial lies.

We enjoy mottoes and restoration most of all. Cutting a dedication, or bringing an old dial back to read true, is honest and satisfying work.
